Deluxe Engine Hardware Kit - For 10mm Head Stud Crankcases

Complete crankcase hardware kit designed for assembling aircooled Type 1 engines using 10mm head studs. This kit includes all the essential nuts, washers and fixings required to securely bolt the two crankcase halves together and fasten the cylinder heads to the engine case.

Correct fastening hardware is critical during engine assembly. The crankcase halves must be clamped evenly to maintain internal alignment of the crankshaft, camshaft and bearings, while the cylinder heads require consistent torque to ensure proper sealing, compression and cooling. This kit includes special self-sealing nuts and hardened washers, helping maintain accurate torque under heat and vibration—preventing oil leaks, loose heads and premature engine wear.

10mm head stud engines are typically found on earlier Type 1 engines and some replacement cases. Using the correct hardware ensures proper load distribution and avoids common issues such as stud pull-out or uneven clamping.
