Rocker Stand Shim Set (0.030" Thick) - Type 1 Engines

Set of four 0.030″ rocker stand shims for aircooled VW Type 1 engines. These shims install beneath the rocker shaft stands on the cylinder heads and are used to correctly adjust rocker arm geometry during engine building and valve train setup.

Correct rocker geometry is essential for efficient valve operation and long-term engine reliability, especially on rebuilt or performance engines fitted with upgraded camshafts, ratio rockers, aftermarket cylinder heads or custom pushrod combinations. By spacing the rocker shaft assembly away from the cylinder head, these shims help achieve the correct rocker arm angle across the full valve lift cycle.

Improper rocker geometry can cause excessive valve guide wear, reduced valve lift, increased side loading and premature wear to valve train components. These 0.030″ shims are ideal for larger geometry corrections often required on modified engines.

Supplied as a set of 4 shims, enough for one complete engine.
