Rocker Stand Shim Set (0.015" Thick) - Type 1 Engines

Set of four 0.015″ rocker stand shims for aircooled VW Type 1 engines. These shims fit beneath the rocker shaft stands on the cylinder heads and are used to correctly set rocker arm geometry during engine assembly and performance engine setup.

Correct rocker geometry is extremely important on aircooled VW engines, especially when fitting upgraded camshafts, performance cylinder heads, different pushrod lengths or altered deck heights. Rocker stand shims allow the rocker shaft assembly to be spaced away from the cylinder head, helping achieve the correct rocker arm angle and valve train alignment throughout the valve lift cycle.

Incorrect geometry can lead to premature valve guide wear, poor valve lift, excessive side loading and reduced valve train reliability. These shims are an essential setup component when building or tuning Type 1 based engines.

Supplied as a set of 4 shims, enough for one complete engine.
