Keep your braking system performing safely and reliably with this quality rear wheel brake cylinder, designed to fit VW Baywindow (T2) and Type 25 (T3) models. Manufactured to OE specifications with a 23.8mm (24mm) piston, this wheel cylinder provides smooth, even braking performance and is an ideal replacement for worn or leaking original units.
The wheel cylinder converts hydraulic pressure from the master cylinder into mechanical force, pushing the brake shoes against the brake drum when the brake pedal is pressed. As these cylinders age, the internal seals can deteriorate, allowing brake fluid to leak and reducing braking efficiency. Replacing leaking or seized wheel cylinders is essential for maintaining safe, balanced braking performance.
This cylinder is supplied complete with a bleed nipple and dust cap for easy installation. Sold individually, with two required per vehicle. For optimum braking performance and balanced braking force, wheel cylinders should always be replaced in axle pairs.
