These 3/8″ NPT to 3/8″ barbed hose fittings are a versatile and commonly used solution for external oil systems on aircooled Volkswagen engines. Designed to provide a direct connection between 3/8″ NPT threaded ports and 3/8″ oil hose, they are ideal for full flow conversions, oil pump outlets, remote filter heads, and thermostat connections.

Each fitting features a 3/8″ NPT tapered thread, allowing it to screw securely into engine cases, oil pump covers, or auxiliary oil system components. The tapered thread ensures a tight, leak-free seal when installed with thread sealant. The 3/8″ hose barb provides a strong mechanical grip on the oil hose, ensuring reliable performance even under pressure and temperature variations.

These fittings are widely used in full flow oil system setups, where oil is routed out of the engine, through an external oil filter and/or cooler, and then returned to the engine.
