These high-quality 3/8″ NPT to 1/2″ barbed hose fittings are a must-have component when building or maintaining an external oil system on aircooled Volkswagen engines. Designed to provide a secure and leak-free connection between threaded oil ports and flexible oil hose, these fittings are commonly used across a wide range of applications including full flow oil conversions, oil pump covers, external thermostats, and remote oil filter heads.

Each fitting features a 3/8″ NPT (National Pipe Thread) tapered thread, allowing it to screw directly into engine cases, oil pump covers, or auxiliary oil system components. The tapered design ensures a tight seal when installed correctly with thread sealant. On the opposite side, the 1/2″ hose barb provides a strong mechanical grip on oil hose, preventing slippage under pressure and ensuring consistent oil flow through the system.

These fittings play a critical role in external oil cooling setups.
