Deluxe Engine Hardware Kit - For 8mm Head Stud Crankcases

Complete crankcase hardware kit designed for assembling aircooled Type 1 engines using 8mm head studs. This kit includes all the essential nuts, washers and fixings required to securely bolt the two crankcase halves together and fasten the cylinder heads to the engine case.

During engine assembly, correct hardware is critical to maintain proper clamping force across the crankcase and heads. This ensures oil tight sealing, correct bearing alignment and long engine life. This kit includes special self-sealing nuts and hardened washers, designed to maintain torque settings under heat cycles and vibration—something standard hardware cannot reliably achieve.

The crankcase halves rely on evenly distributed clamping pressure to keep internal components such as the crankshaft, camshaft and bearings correctly aligned. Likewise, the cylinder heads must be securely fastened to prevent compression leaks and overheating. Using the correct hardware eliminates common issues such as oil leaks, pulled studs, uneven torque or premature engine wear.
