200mm Kennedy Stage 2 Clutch Pressure Plate (2100Lb)

High performance Kennedy Stage 2 clutch pressure plate designed for serious street, drag race, and high horsepower aircooled Volkswagen engines using a 200mm flywheel. Producing approximately 2100lbs of clamping force, this pressure plate is intended for high torque engines where a standard or Stage 1 clutch can no longer provide sufficient grip.

Manufactured by Kennedy Engineered Products (KEP), this premium pressure plate features a heavy duty multi-finger diaphragm design which delivers substantially increased clamping force while maintaining smooth and consistent engagement. The contact surface is produced from a high tensile cast iron alloy for excellent durability, heat resistance, and stability under extreme operating conditions.

Supplied with the early style release bearing centre ring fitted for pre-1970 gearboxes. The centre ring and retaining clip can be removed when fitting to later 1971-on transmissions using the guide tube style release bearing.

The 2100lb Stage 2 clutch is commonly used on larger displacement engines, turbocharged engines, high compression builds, drag race Beetles, and off-road Baja applications. Due to the significantly increased pedal pressure, a heavy duty clutch operating shaft, reinforced clutch forks, and urethane bushes are highly recommended. A strengthened clutch cable and welded pedal assembly may also be advisable on extreme applications.
