200mm Kennedy Stage 4 Clutch Pressure Plate (3000Lb)

Ultra heavy duty Kennedy Stage 4 clutch pressure plate designed for extreme horsepower aircooled Volkswagen race engines using a 200mm flywheel. Producing approximately 3000lbs of clamping force, this pressure plate is intended purely for serious drag racing, full competition, turbocharged, supercharged, and extreme high torque engine applications where maximum clutch holding power is essential.

Manufactured by Kennedy Engineered Products (KEP), this Stage 4 pressure plate uses an extremely heavy duty multi-finger diaphragm assembly engineered to withstand the harshest racing conditions. The contact surface is produced from high tensile cast iron alloy for exceptional strength, heat resistance, and stability during repeated high RPM launches and aggressive race use.

Supplied with the early style release bearing centre ring for pre-1970 transmissions. The centre ring and retaining clip can be removed for compatibility with later guide tube style release bearings used on 1971-on gearboxes.

Due to the extremely high clamping force, this clutch is not recommended for normal street driving. Pedal pressure is extremely heavy and the entire clutch operating system must be upgraded accordingly. Heavy duty clutch shafts, reinforced forks, urethane bushes, welded pedal hooks, strengthened clutch cables, reinforced pedal assemblies, and premium racing clutch discs are mandatory for reliable operation.

This pressure plate is commonly used in drag race Beetles, turbocharged methanol engines, sand rails, off-road race cars, and high horsepower competition builds.
