32/36 Weber Progressive Carburettor Kit - Type 1 Engines

Upgrade your aircooled VW with this complete Weber 32/36 progressive carburettor kit, designed to provide improved throttle response, increased performance, and excellent cruising economy. The progressive twin choke design allows the engine to run on the smaller primary choke during normal driving conditions for smoother low-speed operation and better fuel economy, while the larger secondary choke opens progressively under acceleration to deliver increased airflow and power when needed.

This genuine Weber setup is ideal for standard and mildly tuned Twinport engines up to 1600cc and is widely regarded as one of the best single carburettor upgrades for upright aircooled VW engines.

The complete kit includes a Weber 32/36 progressive carburettor with electric choke, isolated style intake manifold, chrome gauze air filter, linkage kit, fuel line, fittings, gaskets, and mounting hardware for installation.

The carburettor is fitted with a vacuum port for use with vacuum advance distributors if required. Although supplied with baseline jetting, rolling road tuning is highly recommended to achieve optimum drivability, fuel economy, and performance for your particular engine setup.

The manifold supplied is suitable for upright Type 1 and Type 2 dual port engine applications. Single port engines can also use this setup when fitted with suitable single port end castings.

Some installations may require slight modification to the fan shroud around the electric choke housing. Early Beetle models may also require deck lid stand-offs depending on air cleaner clearance.

Please note the inlet manifold is not pre-drilled or tapped for a brake servo vacuum connection.
