Castor shims for T1 front beam.

Made from ultra strong aluminium these shims improve the geometry of the front beam when really lowering the car.

Long bolts must be used when using more than 1 pair of shims.

Right hand drive adjustable lowering beam or axle to fit post 1966 vehicles with Ball Joint suspension.

These beams are brand new with adjusters welded in to give you up to 4″ of adjustment from standard.

Fitment: Please note this is a bare beam that does not come with torsion leaves, if required see part number 131411107A

Fitting: If running at the lowest setting we recommend fitting uprated shorter gas shocks and long travel ball joints.

Measurements: 800mm wide measuring from seam to seam on the bottom of each shock tower.

Finish:  Please note that the finish on these beams is not show quality.  Often these beams are scratched and have paint chips due to storage and transport.  The paint finish on these is just a `storage` paint to help prevent rusting while in storage.  You will need to strip and paint if you require a better finish.

Long travel upper ball joint for lowered aircooled VW front suspension setups. This joint is designed for the upper trailing arm where additional articulation is required when the front suspension is lowered by 2–3 inches or more. On lowered Beetle and Karmann Ghia models, standard upper ball joints can bind or reach their travel limits prematurely, reducing suspension movement and affecting handling. This long travel version helps restore proper movement and prevents restriction through the suspension cycle.

The upper ball joint works in conjunction with the lower ball joint to connect the trailing arms to the steering knuckle, allowing smooth vertical suspension movement while maintaining steering control. When suspension geometry changes due to lowering, the upper joint is placed under increased angular load. This upgraded long travel design accommodates those angles more effectively, improving ride quality, reducing stress on components, and maintaining predictable handling.

Sold individually, allowing flexible replacement, although fitting in pairs (upper and lower) is strongly recommended for best performance on lowered vehicles. Installation requires pressing into the trailing arm. For a complete setup, consider replacing lower ball joints at the same time, along with trailing arm seals, grub screws, and carrying out a full front-end alignment after installation.

Long travel lower ball joint for lowered aircooled VW front suspension setups. This joint is designed for use on the lower trailing arm where extra suspension movement is needed after lowering the front end by around 2-3 inches or more. On a lowered Beetle or Karmann Ghia, a standard ball joint can reach the end of its travel too quickly, which can restrict suspension movement and affect ride quality. A long travel version helps restore movement in the suspension, allowing the trailing arms to move more freely through their operating range.

The ball joint connects the trailing arm to the steering knuckle and allows the front suspension and steering to move together while still pivoting smoothly. On lowered cars this is especially important, as suspension geometry changes can put extra strain on standard components. These long travel lower ball joints are built to cope better with that increased angle, helping improve articulation, suspension function and overall drivability on custom lowered vehicles.

Sold individually, so you can replace one side as needed, although pairs are recommended for balanced performance. Press fitting is required during installation. Depending on your setup, you may also need matching upper ball joints, trailing arm seals, grub screws, link components or a front end alignment after fitting.

Heavy duty front anti roll bar kit designed specifically for lowered ball joint suspension Volkswagen Beetle and Karmann Ghia models.

Manufactured from heavy duty 3/4″ (19mm) steel with a protective zinc plated finish, this upgraded sway bar significantly improves front end stability and cornering performance compared to the standard factory anti roll bar. It helps reduce body roll during cornering, improves steering response and helps control wheel hop under hard acceleration or aggressive driving conditions.

This style of anti roll bar is particularly effective on lowered vehicles where suspension geometry changes can increase body sway and instability. By tying the front suspension together more effectively, the bar helps keep the vehicle flatter through corners for improved road holding and a more controlled driving feel.

Supplied complete with durable red urethane bushes which offer improved performance and reduced flex compared to standard rubber bushes. The kit is designed to re-use the original mounting clamps, although stainless steel clamps are available separately for a cleaner custom installation.

Suitable for ball joint front suspension models only. Not compatible with 1302 or 1303 Super Beetle models.

Bump steer kit, most 68> requires drilling of your spindles. 

This neat little kit consists of just 2 bushes that relocate tie rod ends to the underside of the steering knuckle.

This improves the angle reducing tie rod end wear and gives needed clearance of the fuel tank which can cause a problem on extremely low cars.

Requires drilling of your stub axles.
