Tie Rod Bump Steer Bushing Kit

Front anti bump steer kit designed for seriously lowered Volkswagen Beetles and Karmann Ghias. This simple but effective kit relocates the track rod ends to the underside of the steering arm, improving steering geometry and reducing bump steer on lowered vehicles.

When a Beetle is lowered significantly, the track rods operate at much steeper angles than intended. This can cause premature track rod end wear, reduced steering travel and unwanted bump steer. In extreme cases, the track rods can also contact the fuel tank during suspension movement.

These relocation bushes reposition the track rod ends underneath the steering knuckle, improving the operating angle and providing additional clearance between the track rods and fuel tank. This helps improve steering feel, reduces stress on steering components and is particularly beneficial on very low street cars and Cal-Look builds.

Installation requires the spindle steering arm taper to be machined or drilled out to 16mm and later 1968-on track rod ends must be used. A full front wheel alignment is required after installation.
