Small Flange Exhaust Gasket - EMPI Premium Steel Clad

Premium EMPI steel clad exhaust flange gasket designed for small flange 3-bolt exhaust systems fitted to Type 1 aircooled Volkswagen engines with 4-into-1 header systems. This gasket fits between the header and muffler flange to create a reliable gas-tight seal and prevent exhaust leaks.
Manufactured with a steel clad construction, these premium exhaust gaskets offer improved heat resistance, durability, and sealing performance compared to standard fibre gaskets. Designed to withstand the extreme temperatures and vibration produced by aircooled exhaust systems, they are ideal for both standard and performance exhaust setups.
A damaged or leaking exhaust flange gasket can cause excessive exhaust noise, blowing joints, reduced engine efficiency, poor performance, and exhaust fumes escaping into the engine bay. Replacing worn gaskets helps restore proper exhaust sealing and ensures the exhaust system operates correctly.
Suitable for all small flange Type 1 performance exhaust systems including EMPI, aftermarket 4-into-1 headers, quiet pack exhausts, merged headers, and GT exhaust systems using the small 3-bolt flange arrangement.
For best results, inspect the condition of the exhaust studs, copper nuts, flange surfaces, and exhaust clamps during installation.
