200mm Kennedy Stage 3 Clutch Pressure Plate (2500Lb)

Extreme duty Kennedy Stage 3 clutch pressure plate designed for very high horsepower and competition aircooled Volkswagen engines using a 200mm flywheel. Producing approximately 2500lbs of clamping force, this pressure plate is intended for drag racing, turbocharged engines, large displacement stroker builds, and aggressive off-road race applications where maximum clutch holding power is required.

Manufactured by Kennedy Engineered Products (KEP), this heavy duty pressure plate features a reinforced multi-finger diaphragm design engineered to deliver enormous clamping force while maintaining reliable engagement under extreme loads. The friction surface is manufactured from high tensile cast iron alloy for outstanding heat resistance, strength, and durability in high RPM and competition environments.

Supplied with the early style release bearing centre ring fitted for pre-1970 gearboxes. The centre ring and retaining clip can be removed for use with later guide tube style release bearings fitted to 1971-on transmissions.

A Stage 3 Kennedy clutch creates significantly increased pedal pressure and places additional stress on the clutch operating system. Heavy duty clutch cross shafts, reinforced clutch forks, urethane bushes, strengthened clutch cables, welded pedal hooks, and high quality clutch discs are strongly recommended. This pressure plate is not generally intended for mild street use due to its aggressive pedal feel.
