Twin Weber 40 IDF carburettor kit for Type 1 1300cc and larger twin port aircooled engines. A popular upgrade for standard and mildly tuned engines, the Weber 40 IDF offers a strong balance of driveability, fuel economy and performance.
The twin carburettor setup gives each cylinder bank a shorter, more direct inlet path than a single centre-mounted carburettor. This improves throttle response, increases port velocity and helps boost low to mid-range torque, especially on 1600cc and 1776cc engines. The 28mm venturis make this kit well suited to road use, giving smooth running and usable power without over-carburetting smaller engines.
The kit includes two Weber 40 IDF carburettors, offset manifolds, air filters and hex bar linkage. As with all twin carb installations, the carbs should be balanced and tuned correctly, ideally on a rolling road, for best performance and reliability.
Kit Includes
- 2 x Weber 40 IDF carburettors
