Heavy duty lightweight 28mm cam followers from EMPI, designed specifically for high performance Volkswagen Type 1 aircooled engines running performance camshafts and increased valve lift.
Manufactured as a one-piece mechanical lifter without oil hole, these followers are engineered to withstand the increased loads generated by high lift and high performance camshaft profiles. Their lightweight construction helps reduce valvetrain mass, improving engine response whilst maintaining excellent durability under demanding operating conditions.
When fitting any new camshaft it is essential to use correctly matched cam followers. Installing new lifters with a new camshaft helps ensure proper bedding-in of the cam lobes and maximises camshaft life. Always follow the camshaft manufacturer`s recommended break-in procedure during initial engine start-up.
Ideal for performance street, race, drag race and stroker engine builds.
