Cam Follower (Lifter) Retaining Clips

Spring loaded camshaft follower retaining clips designed to hold the cam followers (lifters) securely in the crankcase during engine assembly on all aircooled Volkswagen engines. These simple but extremely useful tools make engine building much easier by freeing up both hands while fitting the camshaft and joining the crankcase halves together.

Each retaining clip fits from the outside of the crankcase and holds two cam followers firmly against their bores, preventing the lifters from falling out during assembly. Particularly useful when building engines on a bench or engine stand where gravity constantly tries to pull the followers out of position.

Ideal for stock rebuilds, performance engine builds, and professional workshop use, these reusable clips save time and frustration during assembly of Type 1, Type 2, Type 3, and Type 4 aircooled engines.

Manufactured from spring steel for durability and repeated workshop use.
