GTV-2 Cylinder Head - 85.5mm - Dual Spring (40mm Inlet Valves, 35.5mm Exhaust Valves)

High performance GTV-2 racing dual port cylinder head from EMPI, now upgraded with dual valve springs for higher RPM stability and increased performance potential. Designed for 1600cc and 1641cc aircooled VW Type 1 engines, these heads offer significantly improved airflow and durability over standard heads.

The cylinder head controls how air and fuel enter the engine and how exhaust gases exit. With intake and exhaust ports approximately 20% larger than stock, these heads allow greater airflow, improving combustion efficiency, horsepower and throttle response. The addition of dual valve springs ensures better valve control at higher engine speeds, reducing valve float and making them ideal for performance and racing applications.

Fitted with 40mm stainless steel inlet valves and 35.5mm stainless steel exhaust valves, these heads are built to handle increased power demands. Suitable for both standard 85.5mm (1600cc) and 87mm (1641cc) piston and barrel setups.
