GTV-2 Cylinder Head - 85.5mm - Single Spring (40mm Inlet Valves, 35.5mm Exhaust Valves)

High performance GTV-2 racing dual port cylinder head from EMPI, designed for upgraded 1600cc and 1641cc aircooled VW Type 1 engines. Engineered with enlarged ports and performance valve components, these heads deliver significantly improved airflow and power over standard heads.

The cylinder head is a critical part of the engine, controlling airflow into and out of the combustion chamber. Increased port size (approx. 20% larger than stock) allows more air and fuel into the engine and improves exhaust flow, resulting in better combustion efficiency, increased horsepower, and improved throttle response.

These heads are fitted with 40mm stainless steel inlet valves and 35.5mm stainless steel exhaust valves, combined with single heavy-duty valve springs, making them ideal for fast road and racing applications. The 85.5mm bore compatibility suits standard 1600cc engines, while also supporting 87mm (1641cc) upgrades.
