High performance EMPI GTV-2 racing dual port cylinder head, engineered for 1776cc and 1835cc aircooled Type 1 engines using 90.5mm or 92mm piston and cylinder sets. Designed to significantly improve airflow and power, these heads are an excellent upgrade for performance builds, fast road engines, and weekend racers.
The intake and exhaust ports are approximately 20% larger than standard, allowing increased air and fuel flow into the engine and more efficient exhaust gas removal. This improved breathing results in better throttle response, increased horsepower, and stronger overall engine performance.
Each head is supplied fully assembled with 40mm stainless steel inlet valves and 35.5mm stainless steel exhaust valves, providing excellent durability under high temperatures. The heavy-duty single valve springs, combined with 3-groove collets and chromoly retainers, ensure stable valve control at higher RPM while maintaining reliability for road use.
With 55–56cc combustion chambers, these heads are well suited to performance engine builds where compression ratio and airflow are key factors. The precision-machined ports and performance valve job further enhance efficiency across the rev range.
