Type 1 Bolt On EMPI Rocker Covers (Also Waterboxer Engines)

Upgrade your engine with these high-quality EMPI bolt-on aluminium rocker covers, designed for aircooled Type 1 engines (1200cc–1600cc) and waterboxer engines fitted to later T25/T3 models. Supplied as a complete pair with all necessary hardware, these covers provide improved sealing, increased clearance, and a classic performance look.

Unlike original pressed steel rocker covers that rely on spring clips, these EMPI covers bolt directly to the rocker shaft studs, creating a far more secure and consistent seal. This design significantly reduces the risk of oil leaks—especially important on engines running higher oil pressure or performance upgrades.

The cast aluminium construction offers excellent strength and durability, while the finned design helps dissipate heat away from the cylinder heads. The larger internal volume allows clearance for high-lift rocker assemblies, making these covers ideal for both standard and modified engines.
