Type 1, raised roof aluminium crankcase bored to accept 94mm barrels (1914cc +) with 8mm case studs and pre clearanced to accept 86mm stroker crankshafts
All crankcases are made from high quality aluminium alloy and are fully CNC machined following strict quality control standards
- These cases weigh approximately 41 to 44lbs
- Made from high quality aluminium with numerous design features
- Dual by-pass design for Type 1, 2 or 3 applications
- Shuffle Pins for a snug fit, zero gap and longevity
- Bubble or raised roof design with a strong radius design adding strength and allowing additional clearance for up to an 86mm crank
- Filled in (not welded) support behind #3 cylinder
- Drilled and tapped for full flow with plugs supplied
- Main oil gallery tapped for ease of cleaning
- Supplied with 8mm steel case savers
- Modification to fan house required

FAQs
These are available only with 8mm case stud inserts and therefore 8mm case studs must be used. On the smaller 90.5mm bore then a 10mm case stud can also be used. But on the 94mm bore there is not enough room for the larger stud. Your 78mm crankshaft should go in without any clearance issues. Larger cranks up to 86mm can be used in this crankcase but extra clearancing may be required depending on what con rods you are using as some brands have very large bolts which can cause clearance issues. On larger cranks we always recommend using 'Chevy Journal' cranks and con rods to give extra room for rotation inside the crankcase.
We do not stock these crankcases and just get them in to order. Delivery is normally around 3 weeks from the point of order.
