- Monitors refrigerant pressure within the air conditioning system
- Protects the A/C compressor from high or low pressure conditions
- Helps restore correct climate control and cooling operation
This 4-pin air conditioning pressure switch is designed to monitor refrigerant pressure within the vehicle’s air conditioning system. The switch communicates with the climate control module and compressor control system to ensure the correct operating pressure is maintained throughout the A/C circuit.
If refrigerant pressure becomes too high or too low, the pressure switch signals the system to adjust operation or disable the compressor to prevent damage. A faulty pressure switch can cause intermittent cooling, compressor engagement failure, poor air conditioning performance or fault codes within the HVAC system.
This replacement switch is manufactured to OE specification and is suitable for a wide range of modern Volkswagen petrol/electric hybrid and electric vehicles.
