Distibutor Condensor - Round Hole In The Base Of Distributor - Top Quality

Genuine Bosch ignition distributor condenser for Volkswagen aircooled engines fitted with early distributors that use a round hole in the distributor body for the condenser wire. Manufactured by Bosch to original equipment specifications for reliable ignition performance and long service life.

The condenser works in conjunction with the contact breaker points to reduce arcing and ensure efficient coil operation. A faulty condenser can cause misfires, poor starting, rough running, loss of power and rapid points wear. Replacing the condenser as part of a routine ignition service helps maintain optimum engine performance and reliability.

This Bosch condenser is suitable for many original Bosch distributors fitted to 1200cc, 1300cc, 1500cc and 1600cc engines from the mid-1960s through to 1970. It is also used on later 1200cc applications and selected Type 3 models.
