Type 25 Rear Brake Adjuster Bar - Left

This rear brake shoe adjusting bar is fitted to the left-hand rear drum brake assembly on Volkswagen Type 25 (T3) models. It is used to correctly position and adjust the brake shoes inside the drum, ensuring consistent contact with the drum surface for effective braking.

The adjuster bar forms part of the self-adjusting or manual adjustment mechanism, allowing the brake shoes to maintain the correct clearance as they wear. This ensures optimal braking performance, even wear across the shoes, and proper handbrake operation. A worn, seized, or damaged adjuster can lead to poor braking efficiency, uneven wear, or excessive pedal travel.

Manufactured with a right-hand thread, this adjuster is specific to the left-hand side and must be correctly matched during installation. Ideal for brake overhauls, restoration work, or replacing seized or corroded original components.

Not suitable for Syncro models with factory 16″ wheels.
