Type 25 Rear Shift Rod Bellows - 1986-92

These gear shift linkage bellows are designed to protect the rear shift rod bush on later VW Type 25 (T3) models fitted with manual gearboxes. Positioned over the linkage bush, they form a protective seal that prevents dirt, moisture and road debris from entering the gearshift mechanism.

The bellows play an important role in maintaining smooth and precise gear changes. As the gear linkage operates, the rear bush allows controlled movement of the shift rod. Without proper protection, contaminants can enter the bush, leading to increased wear, stiffness or sloppy gear selection. These bellows act as a barrier, extending the life of the linkage components and helping preserve accurate shifting.

Manufactured from durable flexible material, they are designed to withstand constant movement and harsh underbody conditions. They fit over the rear linkage bush (251711207D) and are secured using the correct retaining flanges (251711198D), ensuring a tight and reliable seal.
