Type 25 Shift Rod Bush - 1983-92

This gear selector shaft bush fits the gear linkage system on manual Volkswagen T3/T25 models and is designed to support the selector rod within the shift mechanism. Over time the original bush can wear and deteriorate, causing sloppy gear changes, excessive gear lever movement, vibration through the shifter and difficulty selecting gears.

Replacing worn selector shaft bushes helps restore proper alignment to the linkage assembly, improving shift accuracy and overall driving feel. This bush fits the front selector shaft from chassis number 24-D-000 001 onward and the rear selector shaft up to chassis number 25-H-113601.

For best results, inspect the rest of the linkage system during installation, including:

• Selector joints
• Gear linkage couplers
• Shift rod bushes
• Retaining clips and hardware

as wear in multiple linkage components is very common on older T3/T25 models.

Important:
For 1987-1992 rear selector shaft applications, use 251711207E instead.
