Type 25 Front Brake Hose - 1986-92 (460mm Long) - ATE

Quality ATE replacement flexible rubber brake hose fitted to the front axle of late VW Type 25/T3 Transporter models and VW LT Mk1 vans. Manufactured by ATE, one of the original equipment braking manufacturers for Volkswagen, this hose provides reliable hydraulic brake performance and excellent durability.

The flexible brake hose connects the rigid metal brake line to the front brake caliper while allowing movement from steering and suspension travel. Over time, original hoses can deteriorate internally or crack externally due to age, heat, moisture, and constant flexing. A failing brake hose can cause poor pedal feel, sticking brakes, uneven braking, or fluid leaks. Replacing worn hoses is essential for maintaining safe and consistent braking performance.

This 460mm brake hose features female threaded fittings at both ends and fits both front left and front right positions. Manufactured to OEM specifications for fit, flexibility, and pressure resistance.

Please check your existing hose before ordering, as some late South African-built T3 models were fitted with a male/female style hose instead.

For best results, brake hoses should always be replaced in axle pairs. When fitting new hoses it is also recommended to inspect the condition of the brake calipers, rigid brake pipes, retaining clips, and brake fluid. After installation the braking system must be properly bled using fresh brake fluid.
