Type 25 Front Brake Hose - 1986-92 (460mm Long)

Replacement flexible rubber brake hose fitted to the front axle of late VW Type 25/T3 Transporter models and VW LT Mk1 vans. This hose connects the rigid metal brake pipe to the front brake caliper while allowing full steering and suspension movement without placing stress on the braking system.

Brake hoses are a critical safety component and are constantly subjected to pressure, heat, moisture, dirt, and repeated flexing. Over time the internal lining can collapse or the outer rubber can crack and perish, causing poor brake feel, sticking brakes, uneven braking, or dangerous fluid leaks. Replacing old flexible hoses restores proper hydraulic brake performance and improves pedal feel and braking response.

This 460mm hose is manufactured with female threaded fittings at both ends and fits both front left and front right applications. Please check your existing hose before ordering, as some late South African-built T3 models used an alternative hose with male/female end fittings.

For best results, flexible brake hoses should always be replaced in pairs across the same axle. When fitting new hoses it is also recommended to inspect the condition of the brake calipers, rigid brake lines, retaining clips, and brake fluid. After installation the braking system must be correctly bled using fresh brake fluid.
