Splitscreen Bus Front Wheel Cylinder - 1964-67 (Also Baywindow Bus Front Wheel Cylinder - 1968-70) - Left Front Wheel

Replacement 25.4mm front left wheel brake cylinder for Volkswagen Splitscreen and early Baywindow buses fitted with drum brakes. This cylinder converts hydraulic brake pressure into mechanical movement, pushing the brake shoes outward against the brake drum to slow and stop the vehicle safely.

Over time brake wheel cylinders can suffer from internal corrosion, leaking seals, seized pistons, or fluid contamination. Common symptoms include brake fluid leaks, pulling under braking, reduced braking performance, or sticking brakes. Replacing worn wheel cylinders is essential for maintaining safe and reliable braking performance.

This cylinder fits the left front wheel and two cylinders are required per left front wheel on applicable models. Manufactured to original specification for direct replacement fitment.

Suitable for use with standard drum brake systems on late Splitscreen buses and early Baywindow models.

Sold individually.
