Baywindow Bus Master Cylinder - 1971-79 Without Servo Brakes

Keep your Baywindow’s braking system in top condition with this replacement reproduction brake master cylinder, designed specifically for VW Baywindow Buses from 1971 to 1979 that do not have servo-assisted brakes fitted.

Manufactured for left-hand drive vehicles, this master cylinder can also be used on right-hand drive models by modifying the inlet brake pipes to fit on the opposite side of the unit.

Important fitting notes:

• This master cylinder is not compatible with Splitscreen CSP disc brake conversion kits, as the body is slightly larger and will not fit into the conversion collar. For those conversions, see part numbers 211611021AAFTE and 211611021AATRW.

• Brake light switch is not included. You will need to order separately:
  • 2 Terminal switch: 113945515H
  • 3 Terminal switch: 113945515G

• The port layout may differ from your original cylinder, requiring re-routing of brake pipes. Always position the brake light switch below the master cylinder centreline to prevent air trapping that makes bleeding difficult.

• Brake pedal pushrod end play must be adjusted to 1mm, using the threaded adjustment and locknut. On some buses, you may also need to shorten the pushrod for proper fitment.
