G3 Fuel Sender - 1991-92

Replacement fuel gauge sender unit for Volkswagen Golf Mk3 petrol models. This lever-type fuel tank sender measures the fuel level inside the tank and sends a signal to the dashboard fuel gauge, allowing accurate fuel level readings while driving.

The sender unit operates using a float arm and variable resistance system. As the fuel level rises or falls, the float moves the lever arm which changes the electrical resistance signal sent to the instrument cluster. Over time the internal contacts can wear or become contaminated, causing inaccurate fuel readings, fluctuating gauge operation or complete fuel gauge failure.

Replacing a faulty fuel sender helps restore accurate fuel level indication and prevents unexpected low fuel situations. Ideal for maintenance or restoration of early Golf Mk3 models.

Function:
