Front Air Deflector - Left - Type 1 Engines (Not 1200cc)

Replacement left-hand front air deflector engine tinware for VW Type 1 upright aircooled engines from 1300cc to 1600cc.

This panel attaches to the cylinder head shrouds and fits on the left-hand side of the engine, positioned just to the left of the crankshaft pulley when viewed from the rear of the vehicle. It forms an important part of the engine cooling tinware system, helping direct airflow correctly around the engine and preventing hot air recirculation.

The cooling tinware on aircooled VW engines is essential for maintaining proper operating temperatures. Missing or damaged deflector tins can reduce cooling efficiency, increase engine temperatures and contribute to overheating, particularly during motorway driving or in warmer conditions.

Designed to fit all upright Type 1 style fan shroud engines from 1300cc to 1600cc. Not suitable for 1200cc engines due to differences in tinware and engine configuration.
