Billet Aluminium Distributor Clamp - Type 1 Engines

Upgrade your engine bay with this Billet Style Aluminium Distributor Clamp, designed for all aircooled VW Type 1 based engines from 1960 onwards. Precision machined from high-quality aluminium, this clamp provides a secure hold on the distributor while adding a smart, performance-inspired finish to any engine build.

The distributor clamp secures the distributor body to the engine crankcase and allows accurate ignition timing adjustment. A worn or damaged clamp can allow the distributor to move, causing ignition timing to drift, leading to poor running, difficult starting and reduced engine performance. This billet aluminium version offers improved durability over many standard pressed steel clamps while providing a clean custom appearance.

Ideal for standard restorations, performance engines and show cars alike, this clamp is a direct replacement for the original Type 1 style distributor clamp. Please note that it is not compatible with Type 4 or Waterboxer engines.
