Beetle Heat Exchanger To Chassis Heater Muffler - 1965-67 (380mm x 60mm x 63mm)

Replacement heater muffler tube for VW Beetle and Karmann Ghia models manufactured from 1965 to 1967.

This tube fits between the heat exchanger outlet and the chassis/body heater channel, allowing warm air from the engine’s heat exchanger system to pass into the vehicle cabin. It also helps reduce noise and vibration in the heater ducting, which is why it is often referred to as a heater muffler.

Made from corrugated plastic, the tube is flexible enough to fit into position while maintaining the correct airflow path. Damaged, missing or split heater tubes can cause poor cabin heat, heat loss under the car, fumes or road dirt entering the heater system, and excessive noise from the heater ducting.

Two heater mufflers are required per vehicle, one for each side. Hose clips or clamps may be required separately depending on your existing setup.

We strongly recommend measuring your existing heater muffler before ordering. It is common to find the incorrect style fitted to older vehicles due to engine changes, replacement heat exchangers or non-original heater parts being fitted over the years.
