This interior light unit is designed as a direct replacement for worn, faded, or faulty original interior lights fitted to a wide range of classic Volkswagen and Porsche models. Featuring a three-position switch, the light can be operated manually on, manually off, or switched into courtesy mode to operate automatically when the vehicle doors are opened.

Over time, original interior lights often become discoloured, brittle, or suffer from poor electrical contacts resulting in dim or intermittent operation. Replacing the unit restores proper interior illumination while improving the appearance of the cabin.
