G7 Turbo - 2014-20 - 1.8 TSI (Reconditioned)

Replacement reconditioned exhaust turbocharger for Volkswagen models fitted with the 1.8 TSI EA888 petrol engine. Supplied complete with gasket and seal kit, this turbocharger is designed to restore factory boost pressure, engine performance and fuel efficiency on vehicles suffering from worn or damaged turbo units.

The turbocharger works by using exhaust gas pressure to spin a turbine which drives a compressor wheel on the intake side. This forces additional air into the engine, improving combustion efficiency, power output and torque while maintaining good fuel economy from smaller capacity engines.

Over time turbochargers can suffer from worn bearings, shaft play, oil seal failure, boost pressure faults or wastegate problems. Common symptoms include loss of power, excessive smoke, oil consumption, boost pressure warnings, whining noises or engine management fault codes.

This generally overhauled turbocharger is supplied with fitting gaskets and seals to assist installation and help ensure reliable operation after replacement.
