T25 Manifold Lower Heat Shield

Lower exhaust manifold heat shield designed for Volkswagen T25/T3 models fitted with the 1.6 Turbo Diesel JX engine. This lower shielding plate mounts beneath the exhaust manifold and turbocharger assembly to help contain and deflect radiant heat away from surrounding engine and chassis components.

Turbo diesel engines generate substantial exhaust temperatures, especially around the manifold and turbocharger area. The lower heat shield helps protect nearby hoses, wiring, engine mounts and bodywork from heat damage while also reducing heat transfer into the engine bay and underbody areas. It is an important part of the factory thermal management system on JX-powered Transporters.

Manufactured from durable zinc-plated steel for excellent resistance against corrosion and high operating temperatures, this shield is ideal for replacing rusted or missing originals during restoration or engine repair work.
