This crankshaft main oil seal with integrated aluminium flange is a high-quality replacement for a wide range of Volkswagen watercooled petrol and diesel engines. Located at the flywheel end of the crankshaft, this seal prevents engine oil leakage while maintaining correct internal crankcase pressure. Over time, the original seal can harden or loosen in its housing, leading to oil contamination of the clutch, driveway leaks or reduced lubrication.

This upgraded aluminium-flanged version offers improved sealing stability and long-term reliability compared to simple rubber-edge seals. With dimensions of 85mm inner diameter, 105mm outer diameter and 12mm thickness, it is suitable for numerous VW engine families across cars and vans.

It fits all VW Type 25 Buses with diesel engines, and all VW Transporter T4 models with 2.0 & 2.5 petrol engines and 2.4–2.5 diesel engines. It also fits many early VW watercooled cars including Mk1 Golf, Mk2 Golf, Mk1 Cabriolet, Mk3 Golf, Caddy Mk1, Scirocco, Jetta, Corrado, Polo Mk1–3 and Vento.

This seal is supplied with its own integrated gasket, meaning no additional housing gasket (026103181B) is required.
