High quality DODUCO manufactured ignition contact points for selected aircooled Volkswagen models and engines using a 111 905 205L distributor or aftermarket 009 distributor. DODUCO are well known for producing premium ignition components, offering improved durability, consistent contact performance, and longer service life compared to standard points.
These points are a key part of the conventional ignition system, opening and closing as the distributor cam rotates to trigger the ignition coil and generate the spark for the plugs. Accurate switching is essential for correct ignition timing, smooth running, and reliable starting.
Worn or poor-quality points can cause weak spark, misfires, hesitation, and rough idle. Upgrading to DODUCO points helps ensure a more stable electrical contact surface, reducing arcing and maintaining consistent ignition performance over time. Points should be set to a 0.4mm / 0.016″ gap during installation, with ignition timing checked afterwards.
These points fit distributor model 111 905 205L and also suit 009 distributors. As many vehicles may have had distributor changes, always confirm compatibility by the distributor number fitted.
