Replacement exhaust turbocharger for Volkswagen 1.6 TDI diesel engines fitted to Golf Mk7, Tiguan AD1 and Touran Mk3 models. Supplied complete with gasket and seal kit, this turbocharger is designed to restore original boost pressure, fuel economy and engine performance.
The turbocharger uses exhaust gas energy to spin a turbine wheel which compresses incoming air before it enters the engine. This improves combustion efficiency, torque delivery and fuel economy while reducing emissions from the 1.6 TDI diesel engine.
Turbochargers can fail over time due to oil contamination, carbon build-up, sticking vane mechanisms or worn bearings. Common symptoms include reduced power, excessive smoke, turbo whistle, limp mode activation and boost pressure faults.
This replacement turbocharger is supplied with installation gaskets and seals to help ensure reliable fitting and proper sealing during installation.

Function:
The turbocharger increases engine efficiency and performance by compressing intake air using exhaust gas energy, allowing the 1.6 TDI engine to produce stronger torque, improved acceleration and lower fuel consumption.
Common Symptoms of Turbo Failure:
