T1,T2,G1 Carburettor Fuel Cut Off Valve - 1971-79 - Type 1 Engines

This 12-volt carburettor air cut-off valve (also known as the idle cut-off solenoid) is designed specifically for use on the 34 PICT-3 carburettor fitted to later-model Volkswagen aircooled engines. Its purpose is to prevent engine run-on or “dieseling” after the ignition is switched off by instantly shutting off the idle circuit’s fuel supply.

When the ignition is turned on, the valve opens to allow fuel flow through the idle jet, enabling smooth idle operation. When switched off, it closes the passage electronically, cutting off the fuel supply and preventing post-ignition combustion.

Manufactured to OEM-style specifications, this solenoid features a threaded body and electrical spade connector for easy installation and reliable operation. It is a direct-fit replacement for the original Solex or Pierburg valves used on factory 34 PICT-3 carburettors.
