G6 Oil Pump - 2009-16 - 2.0 TDI

Replacement oil pump for a wide range of Volkswagen Group 2.0 TDI diesel engines fitted to VW, Audi, Seat and Skoda vehicles. The oil pump is one of the most critical components in the engine lubrication system, supplying pressurised oil throughout the engine to protect bearings, camshafts, turbochargers and internal moving parts.

This pump draws oil from the sump and circulates it under pressure through the oil filter and engine galleries, ensuring vital lubrication and cooling of engine components. A worn or failing oil pump can lead to low oil pressure, increased engine wear, noisy hydraulic tappets and in severe cases catastrophic engine damage or turbo failure.

Replacing the oil pump is recommended if oil pressure issues are detected, especially on higher mileage 2.0 TDI engines. During installation it is advisable to inspect the oil pickup pipe, balance shaft drive system, timing components and sump for contamination or debris.

Fitting Notes

• Recommended to replace oil pickup seals and sump gasket/sealant during fitting
