G5,G6 Thermostat Housing - 1.4 TSI

Replacement thermostat housing assembly for a wide range of Volkswagen 1.4 TSI petrol engines. Supplied complete with gaskets and seals, this housing contains the engine thermostat system which regulates coolant flow and maintains the correct engine operating temperature.
The thermostat housing controls coolant circulation between the engine and radiator. During cold starts the thermostat remains closed, allowing the engine to warm up quickly for improved efficiency and reduced emissions. As engine temperature rises, the thermostat opens progressively at the specified temperatures to allow coolant flow through the radiator and maintain stable operating temperatures.
Failure of the thermostat housing is common on 1.4 TSI engines and can cause coolant leaks, overheating, slow warm-up times, fluctuating temperature readings, heater performance issues or engine management faults. Cracks in the plastic housing and seal failures are also common with age and heat cycling.
This replacement unit includes seals and gaskets for easier installation and restoration of correct cooling system performance.
