G5,G6 Oil Pump - 1.9 TDI, 2.0 TDI

Replacement oil pump for a wide range of Volkswagen 1.9 TDI and 2.0 TDI diesel engines. The oil pump is responsible for circulating pressurised engine oil throughout the lubrication system, protecting critical internal components including crankshaft bearings, camshafts, hydraulic tappets and turbochargers.

Over time, oil pumps can suffer from internal wear, reduced efficiency or contamination from sludge and debris, leading to low oil pressure and insufficient lubrication. Common symptoms of a failing oil pump include oil pressure warning lights, noisy tappets, turbocharger lubrication faults and increased engine wear.

Replacing the oil pump is strongly recommended during engine rebuilds or whenever oil pressure problems are detected. During installation it is advisable to inspect the oil pickup pipe, sump and associated drive components for wear or blockage.
