Type 25 Air Mass Meter Intake Boot - 1983-85 - Waterboxer (DH, DJ, GW Engine Codes)

This air intake hose fits between the air intake box and the air flow meter (AFM) on Volkswagen Type 25 / T3 buses equipped with fuel-injected Waterboxer engines. It is correct for 1900cc DH and GW engines and the early 2100cc DJ engine produced during July 1985 only.

This hose is a critical part of the fuel injection system. All incoming air must pass through the airflow meter so the ECU can calculate the correct fuel delivery. Over time, exposure to engine heat, oil vapour, fuel residue, and temperature changes causes the original rubber hose to harden and crack. Even small splits can allow unmetered air to enter the system, resulting in rough idle, hesitation, lean running, misfires, and poor fuel economy.

Manufactured as a direct-fit replacement and formed to the original factory profile, this hose restores an airtight intake path and ensures the injection system functions correctly.

Filtered air flows from the air intake box through this hose into the airflow meter, where it is measured before entering the engine. A sound, flexible hose is essential to maintain accurate airflow measurement and stable engine performance.
