T2 VW Splitscreen Adjustable Springplates

Note; These Springplates are for Splitties that have had a IRS Conversion using a Beetle IRS gearbox and A arms (1302 or 1303 or steel Porsche 944) with either a Transporterhaus or Bus Boys or Rust Box IRS Conversion. If you have a T2D, Harry Harpic or Bus Box IRS Conversion then you will require SPA203H Spring Plates.

Built in 1″ drop.

Easy and quick adjustment of your rear suspension height without having to strip your whole rear end apart.

Made in house by TransporterHaus in England.

All new construction featuring:

High Tensile steel springplate
CNC made boss
Broached torsion splines
TIG welded
Radiused adjusters
Zinc passivated

Note on the Finish

The finish is black zinc passivate.

This is a rust preventative finish which is ideal as a paint undercoat.

Fitted as is they will corrode eventually going a powder white colour, which is the zinc corroding and is to be expected.

do these spring plates (SPA203 or SPA203H) also fit the IRS conversion kit from CSP? have an old IRS conversion from CSP with one piece spring plates and would like to change to adjustable spring plates. (Beetle IRS transmission & Beetle IRS sway arms)

The difference in SPA203 and SPA203H is the length of the plate. SPA203H is slightly longer than SPA203 as the clamp used on the Harry Harpic conversion is smaller than the clamp we use in our kit. Unfortunately we do not know which size clamp is used in the CSP kit. I would suggest you measaure the length of your current spring plate and then email us sales@coolairvw.co.uk with the details so we can compare the length of the plates for you.

The Wagenwest kit we have not seen in person and can only go off of the pictures on their website. By the looks of it these ones should be correct.

Are these adjustable spring plates basically the same as what came with my Type 2 Bus Boys IRS kit with the exception of them being adjustable?
