Upgrade the breathing of your EA888 with this Ramair Performance Intake Kit, engineered for 2.0 TSI engines using the 80mm MAF housing found across the MK5/MK6 platform and selected later MAF-less applications. Designed to replace the restrictive factory airbox, this system improves airflow, turbo response and induction sound while maintaining reliable filtration.

What This Intake Does & How It Works

The standard intake system uses a closed airbox, narrow pipework and internal baffles that limit airflow to reduce noise. While quiet, this creates restriction—especially under boost.

This Ramair system increases the intake diameter to 80mm, reducing turbulence and pressure drop before the turbocharger. The high-flow foam filter allows a greater volume of clean air into the turbo, improving spool speed and throttle response.

The black powder-coated heat shield isolates the filter from engine bay heat, helping maintain cooler intake temperatures for improved efficiency and consistency under load.

Installation Notes

• ECU software optimisation to fully maximise gains (recommended but not essential)
