Swing Axle Gearbox Mounting Bolt Washer

Replacement heavy duty washer for the large mounting bolt that secures the rear gearbox cradle to the chassis frame horns on swing axle Volkswagen models. This washer helps distribute the clamping load correctly across the gearbox support mounting area, preventing damage to the cradle and ensuring the transmission assembly remains securely mounted.

Fitted to the rear transmission support system on classic aircooled Volkswagens, these washers are commonly corroded, distorted, or missing during gearbox repairs and restoration work. Worn or damaged mounting hardware can lead to excessive gearbox movement, vibration, driveline noise, poor gear engagement, and premature wear to gearbox mounts.
