This cap features an internal 60mm bayonet fitting, making it suitable for reproduction Beetle fuel tanks, where the cap locks inside the filler neck. Original Beetle fuel tanks use a cap that grips the outside of the filler neck, so this cap is not suitable for original Beetle tanks.
For Splitscreen Transporters, this cap fits both original and reproduction fuel tanks, making it an ideal replacement during restoration or routine maintenance.
